For every 60 seconds that the second hand moves, the minute hand moves 1 minute, = 1/60 of a revolution ( 360 degrees) = 360/60 = 6 degrees.

5400 seconds divided by 60 seconds = 90, so the minute hand moves through 90 x 6 degrees = 540 degrees.

Reality check: 5400 seconds = 90 minutes = 1.5 revolutions of the minute hand = 360 + 180 = 540 degrees.
