one diagonal goes from A to C. It's not hard to see that the other goes from B to D. Any quadrilateral has justtwo diagonals. Notice that triangles NEVER have diagonals: if we start from any vertex in a triangle, the other two vertices are adjacent.

Jessicanguyen: Can you put this information in kid language sorry
gopal5426: I will try
Jessicanguyen: Thanks

Diagonals are lines that can be drawn inside a shape between two points (vertices) that do not already have a line connecting them.

A triangle has three vertices. However, it would be impossible for a triangle to have any diagonals because all three of its vertices are connected.

There are 0 or no diagonals no matter what kind of triangle it is - equilateral, isosceles, or scalene.
