Number of different groups which can be selected = 36

We have to select 1 man and 1 lady from the total of 4 ladies and 3 men in each tennis team .

Number of ways of selecting one man and one lady in each of the two teams = 4C2 × 3C2

= ((4 × 3)/2) × 3

= 18

Players of the two tennis teams can be interchanged between each other , total number of ways = 18 × 2

= 36
