How many digits are there in 4^100 if log2=0.3010?

Answer:

let x=2^ 100

=> log x= log 2^100

=> log x =100 log 2

=> log x=100* 0.3010

=> log x = 30.1

=> x= antilog 30.1

Number of digits= characteristics +1=30 +1=31

Reason

=> x= antilog 0.1*10^30

=> x= 1.249 * 10^30

In the above , when we multiple , including mantissa part we should have 27 zeros to make it= 30. Then in the charecteristics part we always have just 1 digit.

This way 30+1=31
