Our asteroid best is extremely large and we can't search out dwarf planets with such small technology.
but according to today's Discovery the no. of dwarf planets goes on increasing and decreasing
but mainly we conclude 5 dwarf planets .

Currently only one dwarf planet Ceres occurs in the asteroid belt.
But there are five dwarf planets discovered till date in our Solar system including Ceres.
They are Ceres, Eris, Pluto, Makemake, Huamea.
Scientists have high assumptions of finding about 200 more dwarf planets in Kuiper belt .
There are researches going on to discover dwarf planets among trans- Neptunian objects ( found in Kuiper Belt)
