if there are 5 shells , then
no. of electrons in 1st shell = 2nsquare
;। = 2* 1*1 = 2 e
2nd shell = 2n square
= 2*2*2 = 8 e
3rd shell = 2*3*3*= 18 e
4th shell = 2*4*4 = 32 e
5th shell = 2*5*5 = 50 e
total = 2+8+18+32+50 = 110 e
