No. of electron in N=(2+5)where 5 is valence electron,and in O=(3*(2+6))=24 here no of valnce electron is 3*6=18,For -ve charge add..no of electron is +1.Hence total no of electron in NO3- is 7+24+1=32...And no of valence electron is 5+18+1=24
