how many electrons are there in oxide ion???​

Answer:

An oxide ion has 10 electrons. Oxygen has 8 electrons,so in order to complete octet it needs 2 more electrons.. By receiving 2 more electrons it becomes oxide ion. So oxide ion has 10 electrons.
