If n = 6, l = 0(s-subshell),1(p),2(d),3(f),4(g) or 5(h sub shell)

No. of orbitals = -l to +l

ie:- if l = 2, orbitals are -2,-1,0,1,2 (d-sub shell has 5 orbitals.)

So total no of orbitals for s,p,d,f,g,h are 36 orbitals.

Each orbitals can carry a maximum of 2 electrons.

So total no. of electrons = 2 * number of orbitals ie:- 2 * 36 = 72 electrons.
