When n= 3, l=0 means 3s orbital which can have 2 electrons .

Answer:

6

Explanation:

Hi!

So we have n=3 and l=1 so max no of electrons in n subshell is represented by 2(2l+1) putting the value of L(Azimuthal Quantamn no) the no of electrons comes out to be 6.

                                               OR

We know that it is a 3p orbital as n=3 and l=1 ie P subshell

now we know that any orbital can have the range from -L to +L and the value hence of orbitals is -1 ,0,1 so now we have 3 orbitals and each orbital can hold 2 electrons of opposite spin hence you can have 6 electrons max

I hope it helps!!
