If A is a set with m elements

n (A) = m then n [P (A)] = 2^m

If A = Φ we get n (A) = 0

n [P(A)] = 2^0 = 1

Therefore, P (A) has one element.

If A=Ф that menas A does not contain any element i.e., n=0.Now, number of elements in a power set is 2ⁿ.∴ n[P(A)]=2⁰=1Therefore P(A) contains 1 element.
