length of a sheet=125 cm

breadth of a sheet=85 cm

area= length × breadth

area =125×85

10625 cm

length of the envelope=17 cm

breadth of envelope=5 cm

area=17×5

=85 cm

envelope can be made=10625-85

=10,540

Area of envelope = l×b

= 17×5

No of envelope = (area of sheet of paper)

÷

(area of envelope)

= (125 × 85) ÷ (17 × 5)

= 125 envelope
