Answer:
Antoine Lavoisier, a French chemist , stated law of conservation of mass.
"Mass is neither created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction" i,e total mass of reactants will be equal to total mass of products.
Landolt Experiment:
Landolt was German chemist, He proved law of conservation of mass experimentallu by using H- glass tube filled with silver nitrate in limb A and HCl acid in limb B. The tube was sealed and weighed before chemical reaction. The reactants were mixed and a white precipitate of Silver chloride was formed along with nitric acid. The tube is weighed again.
Conclusion: The total mass of reactants before reaction = total mass of reaction after reaction.
Chemical Reaction:
AgNO3 +HCl -----> AgCl3 + HNO3
