Ivan Neretin, complexes that has a form of M(AB)2C2 posses 8 stereoisomers, 2 of which are optically inactive.

The other 6 isomers can be interchanged to their respective enantiomers.

There are five geometric isomers which are possible for  types

Geometrical isomers :-

• Such types of isomers are the compounds in which the different positions of the ligands will occupy the position around the metal ion or atom.

• When we arrange the ligands adjacent and opposite to one another then the number of geometrical isomers can be determined .

In Ma2b2c2 compound,

- A total of five possible geometrical isomers can be possible.
