Molar Mass of CaCO3 = ( 40+12+3*16) g = 100 g.

So, Number of Moles in 100 g of CaCO3 = 1 mol.

We know that ,

CaCO3 ------> CaO+CO2

So, 1 mole of CaCO3 contains 1 mole of CaO ...

So , Calcium Oxide present in 1 mole of CaCO3

= Molar mass of CaO = ( 40+16) g = 56 g ...
