CH4 + 2O2 = CO2 + 2H2O

16g CH4 reacts with oxygen to form = 44 g CO2

so, 1 g CH4 reacts to form =44/16 g of CO2

so, 100 g CH4 reacts to form = (44 x 100) /16 g of CO2

CH4+2O2=CO2+2H2O
It means
Molecular mass of CH4=12+4=16g
Molecular mass of CO2 =12+2*16=13+32=44g
Thus
16g of CH4 gives 44g of CO2
So 100g of CH4 gives x g of CO2
x=44/16 *100=2.75*100=275g of CO2
