Approximately the gfm, or gram formula mass, of NaOH is 40 g/m, so
.5 m NaOH * 40 g/m NaOH= 20 g NaoH
In this case the mL of the solution is irrelevant but in case if the mols(m) were meant to be molarity(M) then
250 mL=>.25 L *.5 m/L=.125 m NaOH * 40 g/m NaOH= 5 g NaOH
