hello mate..
it's type of limiting reagent type reaction
- first of all write the balanced reaction
- 2H2 + O2 ------> 2H2O
- it mean 4 gram hydrogen react with 32 gram oxygen to form 36 g water
- but we have 8 gram each so find out limiting reagent which will decide the product. for limiting reagent
- for 4 gram hydrogen require oxygen = 32 g
- so 8 gram hydrogen require oxygen = 72 gram
- so oxygen is limiting.
so product will be according to oxygen available.
- 32 gram oxygen produces water = 36 g
- so 8g oxygen will produce water = 9g
