grams of water will be produced by complete
combustion of 12g of methane gas?​

Reaction :-

CH4 + 2O2 → CO2 + 2H2O

mass of methane = 12g

moles of methane = (12/16) mol = 3/4 mole

by stochiomectry, we can conclude that,

1 mole of CH4 can form = 2 mole of H2O

so,

3/4 mole of methane will form { 2 × 3/4 } mole of water i.e. 3/2 moles of water.

now, molar mass of water = 16 u

therefore, in 3/2 moles of water = ( 3/2 × 16 ) g = 24g

Hence, 24 g of water will form.
