1. Let us say object P is placed in a room with one sidewall A having the mirror. There is one image P1 due to reflection in A.
2. Let us place one mirror on the adjacent wall B. Then P forms one image P2 directly. The image P1 forms an image P3 in mirror B. P3 will also be the image of P2 in mirror A. So there are totally 3 images.
This is as per formula : (360°/Ф - 1) where Ф here = 90°
3. Now let us put the mirror C on the ceiling. Object A forms an image P4 directly in C. The images P1, P2, P3 create images P5, P6 & P7 in mirror C respectively.
Further, the images due to P5, P6, P7 will create images in other mirrors, but they will coincide with earlier images.
Thus there will be totally 7 images.
