There are two types of rulers in MS word:

  • Horizontal ruler
  • Vertical ruler

Horizontal Ruler

Horizontal ruler is at the top and consist of four indentation sliders. These indentation slides are left indent, right indent, first line indent, and hanging indent. Left indent controls the space between paragraphs at the left margin and right indent controls space between paragraphs at the right margin. Fist line indent is used to set first line of paragraph. Hanging indent is for how the text will be below the paragraph, such as bullet points, etc.

Vertical Ruler

There are two types of Indent sliders in Vertical ruler at the left side of the page. One is called bottom line indent and other is called top line indent. You can use top line indent to decide where the page will start, you can choose to start from the top of page without leaving any complementary space. Bottom line indent is used to adjust how much space should be left at the bottom after the paragraph ends.

Your answer is (Two)

Answer:

Microsoft word provides us four types of indentation sliders.

Explanation:

The four types of indents are as follow:

The left indent which helps us to control the space between paragraph and the left margin.

The right indent which helps us to control the space between the paragraph and the right margin.

The first line indent which helps us in indenting the first line of every paragraph.

The hanging indent which helps us in controlling the test alignment of a paragraph. This is useful when we are using bullets or numbering and we face difficulties for aligning the text there.
