Answer:

molar weight of Na2SO4 =(2×23)+32+(4×16)=46+32+64=142 gm.

so one mole (142gm) contains 3 moles of ions.

248 gm = 2 moles of compound=2×3 moles of ions

i.e 6 moles ions=6×6.022×10^23 ions.

=36.132×10^23 ions.

Answer:

Atomic mass of Na2SO4 is 142 u

mass of substance / atomic mass =

Mole

284 grams / 142 u = 2 moles

1 mole = 6.022 × 10^23 Atoms

Therefore, 2 moles = 1.2 × 10^24 Atoms

Therefore, 284 grams of Sodium Sulfate contains 1.2 × 10^24 atoms
