let say x kg sugar of costing rs 5.75 per kg is added

then total sugar = x +75 kg

cost of x kg sugar = 5.75x rs

cost of 75 kg sugar costing rs 4.5 per kg = 75 × 4.5

= 337.5 rs

total cost = 5.75x + 337.5 rs

total sugar = x + 75 kg

average cost of sugar mixture = total cost of sugar / total sugar

5.5 = (5.75x + 337.5)/(x + 75)

=> 5.5 x + 412.5 = 5.75x + 337.5

=> 75 = 0.25x

=> x = 75/0.25

=> x = 300 kg

300 kg sugar to be added
