Answer:

12 kg

Step-by-step explanation:

How many kg of tea powder priced at $3.6 per kg should be added to 24 kg of tea powder priced at $2.7 per kg in order to make 5% profit on selling the mixture at $ 3.15 per kg?

Let say X kg of  tea powder priced at $3.6 per kg

mixed with 24 kg of tea powder priced at $2.7 per kg

Then Total Tea = 24 + X  kg

Total Cost Price = 3.6X + 24*2.7  $

= 3.6X + 64.8 $

Profit = 5%  = (5/100)(3.6X + 64.8 $)

Selling Price = (3.6X + 64.8 $)(1.05)

= 3.78X + 68.04 $

Mixture sold at  $ 3.15 per kg

Selling rice = (24 + X)3.15  = 75.6 + 3.15X $

Equating selling price

3.78X + 68.04 = 75.6 + 3.15X $

=> 0.63X = 7.56

=> X = 12

12 kg of tea powder priced at $3.6 per kg should be added
