How many kilogram of milk can be poured in a jar that can contain 0.5 kg of water? Given
density of milk is 1040 kg/m​​

First we will calculate the volume of jar.

Density of water at 4℃ is 1000kg/m3. it means if we have a cotainer of volume 1m3 , it will contain 1000 kgs of water.

We will use the formula

density=(mass/volume)

Volume of jar = (mass of water contained in jar)/(density of water)

=(0.5/1000)

=(0.0005 m3)

Mass of milk that can be contained in this jar

=(density of milk × volume of jar)

=(1040×0.0005)

0.52 kg

So jar can contain 0.52 kgs of milk. This is a little more then the contained water as milk is more denser the the water.
