The number of languages recognised by Indian Constitution is 22 languages and 4 new languages were added to 8th schedule of Indian Constitution. The languages are-
1>Punjabi

5>Sanskrit

9>Malayalam

Under article 344(1) and 355,The Eight Schedule gives recognition to 22 languages .
