How many led bulbs can be connected in parallel to a 9v battery?

To minimize power loss across series resistor, connect three LED in series with necessary resistance in series. It depends upon LED type and specs but lets assume this branch takes 15 mA for full brightness. Now you can add 33 parallel branches as capacity of 9V battery is 500mA. So you can light 33 x 3 = 99 LED.
