Given :  three distinct points

To Find : how many lines are determined

Solution:

how many lines are determined by three distinct points

Two points are required for a line

There are total 3 points

Two points to be selected and order of selection of point does not mater

Hence number of lines  = ³C₂

= 3 lines

but if points are collinear then only one line

Hence option iii)  one or three.  is correct.
