How many lines of longitude are at 1 degree gap ?

It was conventioned that started there in the 19th century. A sphere has 360 degrees (all its roundness) so if you want to mark meridians with one degree from another you will have 360 meridians (lines of longitude). If they are 15 degrees apart one each other you wil have 24.
