Molecular mass of ethane -- C2H6 = (2×12 + 6×1) = 30u.

Molar mass of C2H6 = 30g.

30g of ethane needs 3.5 moles of O2.

1 mole of any gas occupies 22.4 litres.

3.5 moles occupy ---- ?

= 3.5 × 22.4/1

= 78.4 litres

For 60g of ethane we need = (78.4/30) × 60 = 156.8 litres of oxygen.
