C2H6 +7/2 O2----->2CO2 + 3H2O
Molecular mass of ethane--C2H6 = [2x12+6x1]=30u
Molar mass of C2H6=30g
30 g of ethane needs 3.5 moles of O2.
1 mole of any gas occupies 22.4litres.
3.5 moles occupy----?
=3.5x22.4/1
=78.4L
For 60g of ethane we need= (78.4/30)x 60=156.8 L of oxygen.
