How many litres of milk can a hemispherical bowl of diameter 10. 5 cm hold ?

Ans-

Given diameter of the hemispherical bowl= 10.5 cm

So radius of the hemispherical bowl

r = 10.5 / 2 = 5. 25 cm

Volume of hemispherical bowl

= 2/3 π r ^3

= 2/3 × 3. 14 × ( 5. 25) ^3

= 302. 91 cm

= 303 cm ^3

Therefore amount of milk that the hemispherical bowl can hold

= 0. 303 litres

The Length breadth and height of a room are 5 and 4 m and 3 m. Find the cost of the white washing wall of the room and the ceiling at the rate Rs. 7. 50 per m²

The Length breadth and height of a room are 5 and 4 m and 3 m. Find the cost of the white washing wall of the room and the ceiling at the rate Rs. 7. 50 per m²

Ans - Given L = 5 m , b= 4m , H= 3m

Area to be painted = Area of wall + area of ceiling

= 2h(l+b) + l×b

= 2× 3(9) + 20

= 54 +20 = 74 m^2

So cost of 1 metre square = Rs. 7. 50

Cost of painting 74 m square = 74× 7.50= Rs. 555
