Given :

Radius of cylindrical tank =radius of hemisphere= 4.2 cm

Height of cylindrical =total height - radius of the hemisphere = 27.5 - 4.2= 23.3 cm

Volume of cylindrical tank =Volume of Cylinder + volume of hemisphere = πr²h + 2/3πr³= πr²(h+2/3r)

= (22/7) × 4.2×4.2 (23.3 +2/3 × 4.2)

= 22 × 0.6 × 4.2 × 26.1

= 1446.984 cm³

= 1446.984/1000 litres

[1 cm³ = 1/1000 litres]

= 1.446984 litres = 1.45 litres

Hence, 1.45 litres of petrol will be contain in a closed cylindrical tank.

HELLO DEAR,

for the given cylinder,
radius of cylinder = radius of hemisphere = 4.2cm.
height of cylinder = total height - radius of hemisphere = 27.5 - 5.2 = 23.3cm.

now,
volume of tank = volume of cylinder + volume of hemisphere.

⇒πr²h + 2/3πr³
where, r is the radius and h is the height of cylinder

⇒πr²(h + 2/3r)

⇒(22/7) × (4.2)² × (23.3 + 2/3×4.2)

⇒(22/7) × 4.2 × 4.2 × (23.3 + 2.8)

⇒22 × 0.6 × 7 × 26.1

⇒1446.984cm³

\mathit{\frac{1446.984}{1000}LITRE} [∵ 1litre = 1000cm³]

⇒1.4469litre.

⇒1.45litre

Hence, 1.45litre of petrol will be contained in the given closed cylindrical tank.

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS
