Given:

Diameter of hemisphere bowl = 21 cm

To find:

We have to find the volume of water the given hemisphere bowl holds

Solution:

Volume of hemisphere = 2/3 πr³

r = radius of hemisphere

here r = (diameter)/2 = 21/2 cm

Volume = \frac{2}{3}{\pi}({\frac{21}{2} })^{3}

             = \frac{(2)(\pi)(9261)}{(3)(8)}

Volume = 2424.5241 cm³

Now convert the volume from cubic cm. to litres

we know that  1 cm³ = 10⁻³ litres

so 2424.5241 cm³ = 2424.5241 × 10⁻³ litres  = 2.424 litres

∴ The hemispherical bowl with 21 cm diameter can hold 2.424 litres of water
