Area ofroom floor = 11*8 = 88m
Width of carpet = 0.55m
let lenght of carpet be = l
Area of room = Area of carpet
88 = 0.55*l
l = 88/0.55
l = 160m
Therefore the length of carpet required to cover the room is 160meters.
hope this helps you....:)

Hey mate,
========

Length of the room floor = 11m

Breadth of the room floor = 8m

Thus,

Area of the room floor

= ( 11 × 8 ) m^2

= 88 m^2

We have,

Width of the carpet = 55 cm = 0.55 m

Let,

The length of the carpet be L

A/Q,

Area of floor = Area of the carpet

So,

=> 88 = 55 × L

=> 88 / 0.55 = L

=> 88 × 100 / 55 = L

=> 160 = L

Thus,

We need a length of 160 m of carpet to cover the room floor.

Hope it helps !!!
