Given,

Radius of base of tank = 7m

Hight of tank = 24m

Breath of cloth = 5m

To find ,

Leangth of cloth to make a conical tank

Solution ,

first we have to find salit hight (L)

Slant height l = √(r2 + h2) = √(49 + 576) = √625 = 25 m

CSA of the cone = πrll = 22/7 x 7 x 25 = 550 m2

Area of the cloth used = 550 m2

Given, width of the cloth = 5 m

Length of the cloth used = Area/Width

= 550 / 5 m

= 110 m

Hope it will help you

Answer:

The Area of cloth would be equal to the Surface Area of tank.

By taking out S.A of the tank and keeping it equal to area of cloth.

By this method we can find out length of the cloth
