How many moles are 5 grams of calcium ?

Hey !!!

•°• Atomic mass of calcium = 40 u

solution :- we know that

1 mole of atoms = gram atomic mass

1 mole of calcium = gram atomic mass of calcium = 40g

now, 40g of calcium = 1 mole of calcium

5gram of calcium = 1/40×5 mole

= 1/8mole = 0.125mole

Thus there are 0.125 mole in 5grmas of calcium .

No. of moles of atoms = mass of element in gram / gram atomic mass of element

= 5/40
= 1/8
= 0.125 mole
