1 mole of atoms = Gram atomic mass

So, 1 mole of Ca atoms=Gram atomic mass of Ca

                                      =40g

Now,  40 g of calcium = 1 mole of calcium

So,      8 g of calcium =1/40×5 mole

                                    =1/5 mole

                                    =0.2 mole

Thus,there are 0.2 mole in 8 g of calcium.

The number of moles of calcium is 0.2 moles

Explanation:

To calculate the number of moles, we use the equation:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}}

We are given:

Given mass of calcium = 8 g

Molar mass of calcium = 40 g/mol

Putting values in above equation, we get:

\text{Moles of calcium}=\frac{8g}{40g/mol}=0.2mol
