Nice question , Thanks for asking.
When BH₃ reacts with 1-pentene it gives the product bromo pentene.
The chemical reaction involved in the process .
____________________________
C₅H₁₀ + BH₃ -------→ C₅H₁₀B + 3[H]
____________________________
From the above reaction,
1 - mole of 1-pentene reacts with 1-mole of BH₃ .
∴ 2-mole of 1-pentene reacts with 2× 1 = 2 mole of BH₃.
Hence the number of moles of BH₃ required is 2.
Hope it Helps. :-)
