Answer :-

Option- C (46.2) moles

➤EXPLANATION:-

Given to find the total number of moles of 1480 g of CH3OH :-

SOLUTION :-

We have formula to calculate the number of moles of a given element that is

➤No .of moles = Given mass/ Molecular weight

ATQ ,

Given mass is 1480g

Now we find the weight of that compound

CH3OH = Carbon + 3moles of Hydrogen + Oxygen + Hydrogen

We all know the atomic mass of these elements that were

Carbon - 12

Hydrogen- 1

Oxygen - 16

= 12 + 3(1) + 16 + 1

= 12 + 3 + 16 + 1

= 32

➤Molecular weight of CH3OH is 32

Given weight is 1480

Now ,

➤No.of moles = Given mass/ Molecular weight

= 1480/32

= 740/16

= 370/8

= 185/4

➤= 46.25 moles (C)
