1mol of MgIn2S4 is equivalent to 1mol Mg, 2mol In & 4 mol S.
now, moles in 1gm=>
Mg (moles) = 1/24 = 0.041
moles of In = 1/115 = 0.0086
moles of sulphur = 1/32 = 0.0312
molar ratio will be (approx.): 1:2:4
limiting reagent will be the element having the least no. of moles - In, since limiting reagent can be calculated by coefficient/moles.
now, 1 mole MgIn2S4 is equivalent to 2mol In
= moles of MgIn2S4 - 0.00871/2
= 0.00435 moles
