How many moles of solute are present in 40 ml of 0.1 M solution

Answer:

0.1M solution means 0.1 mole of solute is present in 1L of solution.

So, Number of moles of solute present in 40mL solution = \frac{40}{1000} X 0.1

                                                                                              = 4 x 10⁻³mole
