The number of  natural numbers from 1 to 300 have remainder 2 when divided by 6 is 49.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Natural numbers from 1 to 300 have remainder 2 when divided by 6.

To Find:

The number of  natural numbers from 1 to 300 have remainder 2 when divided by 6.

Formula Used:

nth term of the Arithmetic Progression (A.P) tn= y+(n-1)z   --- formula no.01.

Where:

y = first term

z =   common difference.

n =  number of the  natural numbers

tn =  nth term of the Arithmetic Progression (A.P)

Solution:

As given-natural numbers from 1 to 300 have remainder 2 when divided by 6.

The series of natural numbers from 1 to 300 have remainder 2 when divided by 6 is  8,14,20 ........... 296 which is A.P.(Arithmetic Progression).

First number y= 8

Common difference  z= 6

Last number  tn = 296

Applying formula no.01.

t_{n} =y+(n-1) z

296 =8+(n-1) 6

288=6(n-1)

(n-1)= 48

n=48+1

n=49

Thus,the number of  natural numbers from 1 to 300 have remainder 2 when divided by 6 is 49.
