Answer:

There are 17 natural numbers up to 300 which are divisible by 17.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given case will form an AP. In the AP

First term = 17 (17 is the first natural number which is divisible by 17)

Common difference = 17 ( 2× 17 - 17 = 17 difference between any two term will

                                          be 17)

Last term = 289 ( 289 is the largest natural number divisible by 17 which is

                            less than 300)

Let, last term = aₙ, first term = a, common difference = d & no. of terms = n

∴.            aₙ = a + ( n - 1 ) d

           289 = 17 + ( n - 1 ) 17

   17 ( n - 1 ) = 289 - 17

       ( n - 1 ) = 272 / 17

       ( n - 1 ) = 16

               n = 17

Hence, There are n = 17 natural numbers up to 300 which are divisible by 17.
