there are 40 neurotransmitters in brain.

some of the important are acetylcholine, norepinephrine, dopamine, gamma-aminobutyric acid , glutamate, serotonin, histamine , oxytocin and vassopressin.

1 , vassopressin :- anti -diuretic hormone secreted by pituitary gland

2 , glutamate :- it is powerful excitatory neurotransmitters release by nerve cells.

3 , dopamine :- a chemical released by neurons to send signal to other nerve impulse.

4 , norepinephrine :- it is an organic chemical in the catecholamine family that function in the brain and body as a hormone.

5 , oxytocin :- produced by pituitary gland of mammals including man. it increase the concentration of calcium inside muscle cells that control contraction of uterus.

6 , serotonin :- it help to regulate mood and social behavior , appetite and digestion , sleep, memory and sexual desire .

7 , histamine :- it is produced by basophils and by mast cells found in nearby connective tissue . it increase the permeability of capillaries to white blood cells and some proteins to allow them to engage pathogens in infected tissue.

8 , gamma- aminobutyric acid :- it is naturally occurring amino acid works as neurotransmitters in brain. it also help to prevent seizures.
