SOLUTION:

we have to determine the total number between 100 and 10000 formed by using the digits 1,2,3,0,4,5,6,7

In between 100 & 10000 there exist 3 digit numbers & 4 digit numbers

3 digit number between 100 & 10000

Each one"s & Ten"s place can be filled in 8 ways

zero cannot exist at hundred"s place .so,

Hundred "s can be filled in  7 ways

3 digit number between 100 & 10000 = 8×8×7

                                                               = 448

4 digit number between 100 & 10000

Each one"s ,Ten"s & hundred"s place can be filled in 8 ways

zero cannot exist at thousand"s place .so,

Thousand "s can be filled in  7 ways

4 digit number between 100 & 10000 = 8×8×8×7

                                                               = 3584

Total numbers = 3 digit number between 100 & 10000 +4 digit number                                between 100 & 10000

                         = 448+3584

                         = 4032

Therefore, 4032 numbers between 100 and 10000 can be formed with digits 1, 2, 3, 0, 4,5, 6, 7
