Answer:

4095

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of digits = 8.

Less than 10000 = 9999.

1-digit numbers:

There are 7 1-digit numbers = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. {Ignore 0}

2-digit numbers:

= 7 * 8

= 56

3-digit numbers:

= 7 * 8 * 8

= 448

4-digit numbers:

= 7 * 8 * 8 * 8

= 3584

Sum = 7 + 56 + 448 + 3584

        = 4095

Therefore, there are 4095 numbers in all.

Hope it helps!

How many numbers less than 10,000 can be made with the eight digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ??

I'm sorry fr previous ans, I thought repetition isn't allowed.

For one digit no = 7 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7)

Two digit no = 7*8 = 56 (we have to start with 10-17, then 20-27, then 30-27.... Upto 70-77)

Three digit no = 7*8*8 = 448.

Four digit no = 7*8*8*8 = 3584.

So total no less than 10,000 can be made with the eight digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 = 7 + 56 + 448 + 3584

= 4095.
