The nervous system of rabbit can be divided into three parts.

1) The central nervous system consisting of brain and spinal cord.

2) The peripheral nervous system which include nerves appearing from cranial nerves and spinal nerves.

3)The autonomic nervous system which comprises of sympathetic nervous system and parasympathetic nervous system

Rabbit has twelve pairs of cranial nerves.The first ten pairs of cranial nerves are similar to that of fishes and amphibians and the other two are the hypoglossal and the spinal accessory.
