The number of Prime Number Pairs having sum 999 is Zero(0)

Because if the sum of digits of a number is 999 it means it is divisible by 3 and 9 So it can't be a Prime Number

Hope you Understood!!

shadowsabers03: Can you explain it again? I can't understand anything.
shadowsabers03: But the answer is wrong.
shadowsabers03: No. of prime number pairs having sum 999 is 0?
shadowsabers03: Why 997 + 2 = 999?
maheshwarirekhpdl4ne: Ooops, I interpreted the question Wrong!!
I interpreted as the sum of digits of a Prime Number is 999
But it is not so.... It is asking for pairs of two different prime numbers
Sorry!!
shadowsabers03: Oh, can you edit your answer?
shadowsabers03: If the sum of digits of a prime number is 999, then the number would be a large number. But the question doesn't mean this.
maheshwarirekhpdl4ne: How to *Edit* the answer?
shadowsabers03: There may be an option 'edit' at right bottom of your answer. Can the option be seen?
maheshwarirekhpdl4ne: No

Answer:

only one  pair of prime numbers are there which can obtain 999 as the sum

[ 2,     997 ]

Step-by-step explanation:

suppose   the two prime numbers are odd

                                           then sum is even

so sum can not be 999

so   one prime number must be even   clearly  2 [ only one even prime ]

                           997  is a prime

[ note ; to show 997 is prime check this only : no prime                                                                                               number less   √997 is a factor ]
