As a standard rule in globes and maps, parallels are drawn for every 10 degree difference in the lattitude.
In this way parallels can be drawn starting from 0 degree all the way up to 90 degree.
For equator it is a largest circle drawn as the parallel, and for the two poles it is the smallest circle which can be drawn as parallels.
However it can be argued that in the similar way parallel lines can be started being drawn at 1 degree and continued till 89 degree.
So aninfinite number of parallel lines can be drawn depending on where one starts.
